Air travel
The conference is held at Hotel Château Laurier in Quebec City, Canada. Participants wishing to attend and having to travel by plane have several options to reach Quebec City. Those traveling from Canada and the USA may purchase a direct flight to Quebec City from Montreal, Toronto, New-York, Detroit and Chicago. The following airlines offer direct flights in Canada and the USA from these destinations:
Air Canada offers direct flights mainly from Montreal and Toronto
West Jet offers direct flights from Toronto and Halifax
Continental Airlines offer direct flights from New-York (Newark, NJ)
Northwest Airlines offer direct flights from Detroit
United Airlines offer direct flights from Chicago
Those traveling from destinations outside Canada and the USA should consider traveling first to Montreal or Toronto in Canada and then take a regional flight to Quebec City.
Traveling by bus
Rather than taking a regional flight, consider a bus between Montreal and Quebec City as a cheaper option. This consists of a bus ride from Montreal Airport to the Central bus station in Montreal ($25 return fare) and then Quebec City with the Orleans Bus Co. There are frequent buses between Montreal and Quebec City with fare and schedule available at Orleans Express bus co. In Quebec City you must get off at the downtown terminus stop (Gare du Palais) which is closest to the hotel.
Ground transportation in Quebec City
From the Quebec City Airport there are taxis available just at the airport exit door. The taxi ride from the airport to the Hotel Chateau Laurier are provided at a fixed price of $32.50 (in January 2009), tips not included (usually between 10% to 15% according to your appreciation of the service).

The conference will be held at the Hotel Chateau Laurier which is few meters from Chemin St-Louis, facing the Abram plains, and close to the parliament building and to the gates of the old city. It is centrally located to enjoy the panoramic views at the Abraham plains, the notorious restaurants of Chemin St-Louis and at walking distance from all the attractions of fabulous old city. Old Quebec City has been designated as a world heritage city by UNESCO and the hotel is perfectly located for participants to enjoy its beauties.
